SIGNING
UP FOR GAMES
Referees can choose and assign themselves to games at www.mysoccerleague.com
TEAMS ARE REQUIRED TO SUPPLY REFEREES
Recreational teams are expected to provide at least
1 working referee for the league referee pool. Competitive teams
are required to provide three grade 8 referees
for the league referee pool. Each referee affiliated with
a competitive team must do 5 games. A PARENT WHO BECOMES A REFEREE IS
NOT ASSIGNED TO BE THE REFEREE FOR THIER KID'S TEAM GAMES.New, inexperienced
referees are teamed up with more experienced referees to officiate the
younger age groups and eventually work up to the higher age groups.
It is only with this kind of participation throughout the league that
there will be enough referees to cover all the youth games. For more
information about the league Referee Program contact:
Jack
Wagoner, 510-527-6956, soccer@bluewave.ws
You may attend other area clinics and pay $25.00-
but will be reimbursed by our league when you pass the test. It is possible
to attend parts of more than one clinic to help people's schedule: final
test is the same for all clinics.

Standard referee jersey is yellow. This is generally the only jersey
the recreational referee will need. The alternate colors of black, red
and blue are used more often in the competitive games where the opponents
are from other Leagues, and may have conflicting color jerseys. It is
preferred that the center referee and both ARs are in the same color
jersey, however, never let the lack of a jersey be a deterrent to refereeing
a game.
