Alameda Contra Costa Youth Soccer League has five clubs and provides outstanding soccer opportunities for recreational and competitive teams in the Albany, Berkeley,
El Cerrito, Richmond, San Pablo area. The clubs are

Mavericks (MAV)
Mersey Soccer Club (MSC)
Richmond United Soccer Club (RUSC)
San Pablo United Soccer Club (SPUYSC)

The league is part of District IV of the California Youth Soccer Association (CYSA) North. CYSA sets the policies for the operation of its leagues. To find out more about CYSA go to the CYSA North website.

The ACCYSL Board is responsible for setting league policy. To see the list of Board members click here and scroll to the bottom of the page. Each club has its own registrar that is responsible for managing the registration process for the club. There is also a league registrar who insures that all registration materials are in order and is the contact person for the league with District IV concerning registration.

During recent years soccer in Northern California and elsewhere has been reorganized into Recreational teams and Competitive teams. Our select competitive program is the Mavericks. But other ACCYSL clubs now have some competitive teams as well. To find out more contact each club .

Formerly the recreational teams were labelled Class IV, and the competitive teams were labelled either Class III or Class I. Now the competitive teams are ranked in increasing order with labels such as Copper, Bronze, Silver, Gold, NPL , etc. The connection between the old and new classifications is (more or less)

Class IV = Recreational
Class III = Copper , Bronze
Class I = Silver, Gold, NPL, etc.
